	River of Sound EP spelades in i Mission Hall Studio i januari 2009 med Mathias Oldén från Logh som producent. Första singeln Whales in the sky släptes den 16 mars i digital form och plockades direkt upp på rotation på Skandinaviens största studentradiostation, Radio AF 99.1. Blue Utopia började som ett mindre soloprojekt hösten 2005, och redan första året spelade de live i Australien & USA. Blue Utopia jämfördes i New York med Regina Spektor, Joanna Newsom och Sigur Rós, då främst på grund av harpan, sången och dynamiken. Och det är främst dynamiken och det kraftfulla i musiken som utvecklats efter flytt till Lund och bildandet av ett fantastiskt 6-mannaband. Även stora modehuset Lafayette Gallerys i Paris har använt sig av Blue Utopias musik och det bjuds på en blandning av svenska och engelska texter. Förmodligen så finns det inte ett enda band idag, som låter som Blue Utopia.
